I can make out all of the other names except for the one mentioned after "Lightning Lass." It sounds like "Nipple Lad", but that can't be right...Xum Yukinorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08336781008143133401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198995076932053022.post-1209801250453330952014-06-29T21:07:51.475-04:002014-06-29T21:07:51.475-04:00FYI: S.T.A.R. Labs' first appearance is the story "Danger: Monster at Work" (Superman 246), which was reprinted in Best of DC Blue Ribbon Digest #56 (Superman vs. More Aliens), which you may have, Rob. S.T.A.R. "appears" in pages 4 and 8 of the story, but it is only as an interior laboratory and the outside of the building is not shown.

Superman #304 gives us a glimpse of the outside of at least the top of the building, but it was a fairly generic building with a rectangular "S.T.A.R. Laboratories" sign atop it.

In Superman #310, we see the whole building for the first time on the first page -- which is again a generic building only a few stories tall, with the "S.T.A.R. Labs" sign now along the side.

The S.T.A.R. Labs building exterior doesn't seem to appear in the Superman title again. In fact, the first time I recall S.T.A.R. Labs having its Grace Building appearance was in the "New Teen Titans" preview in DC Comics Presents #26 (cover date Oct. 1980). Perhaps someone else can confirm if that is the actual first appearance of the "signature S.T.A.R. structure", because I may not have the answer in my longboxes...Xum Yukinorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08336781008143133401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198995076932053022.post-39062299368203269582014-06-29T12:21:57.153-04:002014-06-29T12:21:57.153-04:00Speaking of Jerry "The Extraordinary" Or...Speaking of Jerry "The Extraordinary" Ordway, have you been reading the latest "Spongebob Comics", Rob? They have been featuring their Aquaman parody character, "Mermaid Man," in a story sequence illustrated by "Da Ordster" himself.
