I am always a bit sad of the impact it had upon Perkins' career as he did get typecast as the weirdo for much of the remained of his life. Still, I do like that 1990 commercial where "Norman" shills for Oatmeal Raisin Crisp:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6s5DjcLWUIAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00941089906913618553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198995076932053022.post-31703741125892623782015-10-02T10:38:30.798-04:002015-10-02T10:38:30.798-04:00I've got to quit listening to this show, becau...I've got to quit listening to this show, because it makes me want to run away from work and watch the films you discuss IMMEDIATELY!!!

It's been a while since I watched Psycho in it's entirety, although I did come across it on TCM a few weeks back, right at the start of the shower scene, so of course, I stopped and watched that part. You have to. It's law, I believe.

I took me many years to see the original, although I think I saw one of the sequels in theater at far too young an age. I get the "furniture" analogy...taking something for granted because it is so omnipresent. But the direction and performances of Psycho are so nuanced, once you watch that first frame, you are sucked in and you realize...it's completely worthy of it's legend. But you guys already said that!

Great show as always!

ChrisAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12246775047190089292noreply@blogger.com
